Choose on the screen that makes searching easy
A phone is convenient for a quick recommendation. A laptop gives you more room to compare details. Either can help you identify the exact film before typing with a television remote. Save the choice if you are not watching immediately.
Move to the television
Open the same title and year in the viewing service's supported TV app. Casting or AirPlay depends on both devices, the network and the service. A Smart TV browser may browse a catalogue but lack a playback feature supported by a dedicated app.
On a console or streaming stick
Check that the selected service supports the device and region. Use the normal app installation path. A catalogue link does not install a player, change subscription access or add support to an incompatible device.
Keyboard, speed and Picture-in-Picture
These controls belong to the player you are using. Look at its menus or help rather than assuming a shortcut works everywhere. A browser may also provide Picture-in-Picture for supported video, but availability varies.
Remember your list
My List is browser-local. A movie saved on a laptop will not appear automatically on a phone. Create a backup if you want compatible favourites and checkpoints in both places. This moves catalogue choices, not the selected service's account or downloaded video.
